CESNA, working in conjunction with the Millstadt Senior Center, is sponsoring the Meals on Wheels delivery service here in New Athens. If you are interested in meals, contact Millstadt Township Senior Services at 618-476-3731.
The Annual New Athens Homecoming will be held on Friday, June 27th and Saturday, June 28th. Live music, food, drinks, and carnival rides will be available both nights beginning at 6PM. The parade will begin on Saturday, June 28th at 5PM at the Village Hall and will end at the Village Park.
The New Athens Police Deparetment will follow Ordinance # Sec. 20-22. POSSESSION, USE AND DISCHARGE OF DANGEROUS FIREWORKS UNLAWFUL. "It is unlawful for any person to sell, possess, use, transfer, discharge or explode any dangerous firework within the village, provided that this prohibition shall not apply to duly authorized public displays."

New Athens Public Works Department has been hard at work! They have recently completed the project of constructing a pickleball court at Okaw Valley Park and it looks fantastic. Bring your equipment out and come give it a whirl!
