Traffic Issues caused by Eclipse
Launch the media gallery 1 playerApril 8th was truly a remarkable day for all of us because of the spectacular solar eclipse. One of the consequences of the eclipse was rare traffic issues for the community. The intersections at the Old Baldwin Road and Route 13 and Van Buren Street and Route 13 was hopelessly clogged without the assistance of police traffic control.
Chief Tim Buehler and the entire police force went beyond the call of duty to control traffic at the intersections for hours. Assisting them was Devin Brown, EMA Co-coordinator . Devin quickly stepped up and volunteered to assist in this traffic emergency.
We are blessed to have a great police department and volunteers like Devin Brown. When you see them around town, tell them "Thank you".
